my refrigerated a/c unit doesnt work

hello sir, i have a Carrier a/c unit model # CA13NA60-B, i believe i was told it is a 5 ton unit..there is a big chunk of ice on one of the lines by the unit...the a/c was working fine,i had it at 75 degrees F & yesterday i noticed the temp. inside the house was climbing above 75..its at 83 right now....any idea what could be wrong? there is a hole punched on the wall inside my house,im getting that fixed but would that have anything to do with it? the hole is fist sized and plugged up for now

Hi Daniel,

I don't think that this hole in your wall has anything to do with your AC unit icing. Check my article here - http://checkthishouse.com/12/air-conditioning-icing.html and let me know if you need more help.
