how can I find local code for water heater gas connection for my town

I am installing a water heater for a new addition and want to know if flex gas supply ans fle water supply are permitted for my town in NJ

It's unlikely that you'll find it there but you can start from visiting your town's website and browsing for a local plumbing code copy. They sometimes post requirements for certain installations but water heater would most likely require a plumbing permit and a licensed plumber to perform this job, so the information probably will not be there.

You can call some local plumbing company or go to a plumbing supply store to get those answers. If that fails... your town's building department will remain as the only resource.
