do co2 detectors need to be mounted on ceiling or can they be low in wall outlets?

I am in  a level condo with an attached garage and would like to know the best locations to put 2 co2 detectors.  Not sure if ceiling or wall outlets are better places.  Please let me know.

Hi Eric,
If you didn’t do it yet, read my article and watch short video presentation here: Where to install CO alarm  . Simply adopt those tips to the layout of your condominium.
Although this is not specified in any installation manuals and / or recommendations from the authorities you can place one of the Carbon Monoxide detectors nearby your bed / at the slipping pillow / head level. Other devices should be placed as described at the link above and in the manufacturer's installation manual.
